Altimeter

This is a real instrument. Don says it is not the right one for an A-4.

[9/19/2019] Disassembled it, removing the portion which senses atmospheric pressure.

On the face, there is a small motor and flag which says “Code Off.” With trial and error, discovered it will move by applying 12VDC directly, drawing about 47 mA. It won't move at less voltage, tested with 5V and 9V.

Angle of Attack Indicator

Disassembled the A-4 Angle of Attack indicator. It appears to be the real gauge from an A-4. It was quite complex.

Keeping

	* Main dial, scale is 0 to 30 (units, not degrees, per Navy info)
	* “OFF” indicator. The Off indicator measures about 60 ohms. This can be indicated by apply 5V through a 220 Ohm Resistor. Draws 14 mA

Rectilinear Potentiometer

The A-4 Trainer came equipped with 3 similar assemblies for the 3 main flight controls, Aileron, Elevator, and Rudder.

To detect the position, each has a “Rectilinear Potentiometer.” This is a linear sliding potentiometer with 6 electrical connections instead of the usual 3.
