This is an old revision of the document!

Was able to make the Sibelius text items have effect

  • Sw
  • Gt
  • Ch

Work in a Organ score to assign to the correct Hauptwerk keyboards by doing this:

In Playback Dictionary Play → Dictionary → Staff Text, scroll to bottom to find Ch, Gt, Sw These are assigned to

  • Sw → +pipe.swell
  • Gt → +pipe.great
  • Ch → +pipe.choir

In Sibelius “Playback Devices” accessible with Play → Setup Created configuratoin “Hauptwerk Alt 2” Device Hauptwerk VST Link 64-bit Sound set Hauptwerk 4 Sounds Checked Use manual sound set No. channels: 4 (which is pedal plus 3 manuals In Sound Settings, this is really a window into multiple Channels, which appear on the right. Channel 1 Program Name Pedal Sound ID: keyboard.organ.pipe.pedal

Channel 2 Program Name Choir Sound ID: keyboard.organ.pipe.choir

Channel 3 Program Name Great (Hauptwerk Grand Orgue) Sound ID: keyboard.organ.pipe.great

Channel 4 Program Name: Swell (Schwellwerk, Recit Expressif) Sound ID: keyboard.progran.pipe.swell

There is a “Organ” staff pair, then you add “Gt” and it causes that part of the staff to be sent as MIDI channel 3

In Hauptwerk, the MIDI channels are mapped:

MIDI Channel Keyboard
1Pedal
2Choir
3Great
4Swell

I could add 5 - Echo, as needed.

Now in Sibelius, I need to get the pedals to show up on the same score with the Organ.

There is a Parts menu, I just created a new part, selecting the two Organ manuals plus pedal.

Coming back to this 4 months later. I think it was actually Hauptwerk Alt 3. I think I made a version with less echo/reverb.
