Thrustmaster Flight Simulator Yoke, Boeing-series

Malfunction - X-Axis not centered, eratic

Hall-effect X-Axis SensorAH496
129099

Measured about 3.5 volts - seems low.

Hall Effect Sensor in Center

Guessing E1 is Zener Diode. Left connector is wired to circuit board in yoke, connecting to triggers, thumbsticks, etc. The X-Axis started working again for a while when I connected oscilloscope probe to right-most connection (which goes to pin 3 of the Hall Effect Sensor - Output). Maybe Zener Diode has connection problem? Hall Effect Sensor Back

Apparently some of the wiring became broken. The wire which plugs in near E1 was pulled loose, so straightening it seemed to help.

The thumb joy stick which changes the view horizontally also started being erratic. Apparently fixed by soldering a red wire along that ribbon cable's red edge wire. The wire seemed to have a limp place. Pushing on the wire just slightly caused the joy stick output to fix, at least temporarily.

The wire is

8 position (individual wires) in a ribbon cable, 6“ long, 0.8mm pitch
