3/10/2016 Right after installing Windows 7, but before Authorizing it, received a window offering to download Windows 10. Did this, but it asked for a Product Key, so had to cancel setup. Probably because underlying Windows 7 was not authorized.

Work to disassemble and re-assemble was successful, although initially, the scroll lock light was blinking and the display didn't light. Checking Google, was reminded this means there is a memory fault. Re-seated memory and it works now (except for battery).
