200 Mbps Universal Wifi Range Extender

Manual

Purchased in 2016, has a remote, and the remote did not include a battery. Purchased DL2032 batteries, which work fine.

Some pictures don't seem to display properly. The “manual” that came with the panel doesn't say much about the photo file format that should work.

My dad gave me this generator, because it was not working. On investigation, the problem was that the pivot rod for the carbureator was dislodged, causing the valve to not close, so gas was running until it filled up the air filter, preventing operation. I fixed it by cleaning the valve pin, re-assembling and bending the pivot rod to prevent it from coming out again. It runs fine now. 10/17/2016.

Tested the generator out, and it was dripping gas everywhere. Looked at the same pivot rod area as mentioned above, and everything looked OK. The needle valve has a spring in it, and it seemed to bind a bit, but it seemed OK. I wiped it off, and reassembled it. It leaked again. I disassembled it again and noticed that some of the plastic on the bowl is supposed to grab the needle valve plunger, not just push it. After reassembling, it worked. There was some built up gas in the engine, so cranked it a couple of times so I didn't mistakenly think it still leaks.

Noticed that after properly reassembling, was able to blow a lot of air from the gas supply pipe when the bowl hangs down, more than with my initial improper try. So it is likely that I had assembled it incorrectly before.

Also, I think that when you power it down, I'm supposed to close the gas valve and let it run out, so that the bowl doesn't stay full, keeping the needle valve spring compressed (for months!). 1/13/2018

Engine

Having some problem. The engine will start and run perhaps for 4 minutes when cold, then shut down. Requires a primer and will run another 30 seconds. It might be caused from bad gas.

Disassembled the carbureator, blew it out. No improvement.

Blew out fuel filter. Then removed it entirely. No improvement.

Need to check spark plug, although this seem unpromising.

Battery compartment is accessible by sliding the lid forward toward the front (the side with the anemometer and wind direction instrument). I removed the whole sensor to gain access, but didn't need to.

This is to extend WiFi coverage in my house. Mounted in “family room” corner. Moved to living room behind TV.

To add a water connection for ice/water, purchased a “T” from Home Depot:

The refrigerator installation required me to purchase a new 8' pipe. It had a 1/4” OD Female Compression fitting on either end. The installer attached this to the refrigerator end. The other end is threaded through the cabinetry through 1“ holes drilled by me.

Ordered via Amazon, saving about $200 over ordering from Home Depot. They say it should arrive 1/14 to 1/25/2021. I will need to tear out the lower wood drawer for this model to fit because it has a built-in drawer.

This receives bluetooth output from cell phone, and transmits it as an FM signal. Currently tuned to 106.5, but may need to retune it because I get some interference.

User Guide for U2000RB-1

Furnace stopped working. Woke up to 54 degree temperature. Quick examination showed that igniter was not operating. Was able to run furnace through cycle by using a lighter to light the gas burners after the valve opening “clack.”

Ordered new igniter from Amazon, although it didn't match exactly. Had to order it anyway, because more exact match would have take a week or two to arrive.

The old one looks like this:

Had to squish some of the metal holder in the new one from Amazon to get the new one to fit.

The new part number in the bar code is 9031100 (but the old one, 902661A is a better fit).

The replacement fixed the furnace problem right away. Forgot to plug in the new igniter. Also, accidentally pulled loose the red wire from the vacuum sensor, which measures chimney air flow.

Received 12/7/2021, from Amazon. I paid $1,540.30 including tax, due to Black Friday discount.

Seems to be working wonderfully. Appreciating amazing fast charging, and that the AC charger is built in, although it is kind of heavy (about 48 lbs.). When using with my small generator (1100 watts maximum), switched to low charging (switch near where you plug the 110v AC input), then it worked. My small generator couldn't quite keep up with the high charging, and the unsmooth result caused the charging to cease entirely. Switching to low allowed charging to run, at about 350 watts rate.

Directions says 1612 Wh. Will examine bottom. Shows 500 cycles to 80% capacity.

Model No. B-1000. Purchased 1/10/2022 via Amazon for $59.99.

PSE had a special to be able to buy discounted Smart Thermostats. Bought ecobee 3 lite.

Worked with Chris to run a CAT 5 wire between main floor thermostat area to furnace. Old wire was just red and white twisted, inadequate for more advanced functions. CAT 5 doesn't have the same colors, so wired like this:

This shows up as HY82 in the BlueTooth scan.

Can R600 be used as an uninterruptible power supply (UPS)?

Yes. When R600 is recharging from AC, the devices pluged it gets power from the grid, not its battery. If power outage, R600 automatically power supplies within 10 ms. Please open AC output first and than plug input. Do not change the sequence.

For the 2001 Nissan Altima, had to use the ISOxxxxx setting to get it to read. But it did work.

The “glass” front of the light appeared to have some milky white stains on it. We tried to clean it, and disassembled it, but the stains appear to be embedded in the plastic, and weren't removable even when using Goof-Off solvent. Reassembled, works fine.

It can be powered by the Ryobi 18v series, or an extension cord can be plugged into the back.

Of interest, the AC prongs are really from an AC adapter, which is held still by the plastic housing. 12/6/2023

Small round tags for Molly and Xena each with a custom VC code, linked to a web page with ring.com. If someone finds the tag and scans it, I will be notified.

I created a small 3D printed cover with white plastic that says “Open Me.” This is to protect the VC code and tiny URL that is printed on it.

Placed on the dogs by 1/23/2024.

This takes a CR2032 battery. Initially I thought it was something else, but I had placed an incorrect battery in there last year.

There is a dot on the battery round door. Turn it to point to the unlock to open it.

This camera takes 360 Videos and Photos. My version, the X2, has a round display. Newer versions have a rectangular display

The only way to set Date/Time is to connect it to the Phone App, then it synchronizes automatically.

The camera won't connect to the Phone App if its USB is connected to a PC at the same time.

When taking videos and photos, multiple files are generated.

The DNG format seems to have more accurate lighting, but it takes a while for the app to download it.

On 11/21/2024, I ordered Verizon Internet, via 5G service. The timing was great because there was a big windstorm which knocked out my Century Link DSL service later that night.

The “Verizon Internet Gateway” receives internet service from the cell network, and delivers 1 Gb internet service, both as ethernet and WiFi service.

A few days later, I ordered a WiFi Extender device, because my current separate Access Point required me to connect one at a time to these. The new functionality allows me to connect up to a single SID (dancoNet3) wherever I am in the house.

The instructions didn't exactly work as is, because it is best when the WiFi Extender is connected to the Internet Gateway, I connected like this (after doing a factory reset to clear my previous experimentation).

1. Connected the Verizon Internet Gateway properly, turned on “SON.”
2. Plugged in the ethernet connection to the WiFi Extender
3. Power up the WiFi Extender.
4. The white light came on perhaps 10 minutes later
5. Login to the WiFi Extender at 192.168.0.101, using the Verizon Internet Gateway password
6. Check that it is working OK.

I didn't have to do the pairing procedure, probably because I connected the WiFi Extender via ethernet cable.

This provides 5G internet service.

Let's get started.

Wi-Fi Extender

Before setting up the Wi-Fi Extender, make sure the router or gateway you use to connect to the internet is working properly.

Connect the Wi-Fi Extender to the power adapter and plug it into a power outlet next to the router or gateway and wait for its light to turn solid yellow.

Press and hold the pair button on the Wi-Fi Extender for 3 seconds. Then within 2 minutes, depending on the equipment that came with your service, press and hold the pair button for 3 seconds on the router or press and release the pair button on the gateway. The lights on both devices will blink blue while pairing. Once paired, it could take up to 8 minutes before you see a solid white or blinking yellow light on the Wi-Fi Extender. Do not unplug if you see a blinking white light.

Unplug the Wi-Fi Extender. Move it between the router or gateway and the weak Wi-Fi coverage area, then plug it in. If you see a fast blinking yellow light, try moving it a bit further away from the router or gateway. If you see a slow blinking yellow light, try a bit closer. A solid white light means you have it in the right spot and your setup is complete.

This has Lithium batteries. Used this to replace old unit where the lead-acid batteries kept going bad. Last power outage, old unit lasted less than 3 seconds.

I had purchased the microwave oven soon after I moved in, in 1999. Since then, I've had to make some repairs. During 2024, I replaced the handle with some custom printed black plastic posts plus a copper pipe. Actually looks like a nice style. [3/19/2025]

Replaced two small halogen light bulbs which light up the area under the microwave. They were OSRAM 12V 10W, #64415. Replaced these with 3W LEDs instead. [3/19/2025]

High-Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC), also known as H.265, is a video compression standard that allows GoPro cameras to capture large video content, such as 5.3k60fps and 1080p240, at roughly half the file size with equivalent image quality. This standard is natively supported on Android 5.0+, iOS 11+, and macOS High Sierra and newer. Windows 11/10 support HEVC but the codec is not included natively. The HEVC Codec can be purchased here (for 99 cents).

The application Handbrake is a free program which can be used to translate between video formats.
