for $1550.
Purchased this so that Songer guys can learn to drive.
Information from Craigslist:
2001 Nissan Altima Gxe
four-cylinder
automatic
It runs and drives good
no check engine light
no leaks
pretty clean inside and outside for its age
not perfect
it does have a rebuilt engine with 150,000 miles, transmission has 100,000 miles
vehicle has 394,000
it does run and drive strong heat and AC work
clean title
new battery
Term "clean title" is a bit of an exageration. I received "Affidavit of Loss/Release of interest" and "Vehicle/Vessel Bill of Sale"
Car has poor tires (cords showing), and vibrates when in motion, especially when over 60 mph. Amy says it pulls to one side, although I didn't detect that while driving it.
After driving it around the neighborhood, it seemed to smooth out. Replaced all 4 tires at Les Schwab. Didn't replace tie rods at this time.

Purchased new tires.
Engine started clanking. Persuing changing the engine.
===== Car vandalized =====
The engine failed on 18, so we pulled over and Tom Boon picked us up. While we were at church, someone broke the passenger front window, and stole the spare tire, and the battery. They also broke some of the trim.
===== Replaced Engine =====
Replaced engine with another used one. Engine $660, labor $2000 (George)
Loosing coolant. Radiator cap needed to be replaced. New one leaks, bent ears so that cap grabs outer ring better. 2/13/2024
Water pump leaks, drips from "weep holes" Replacing water pump. 2/21/2024.
===== Wheel Bearings =====
We had replaced the driver-side wheel bearing, and then the passenger side started being noisy. Had Les Schwab replace both bearings and did an alignment.
They moved the front tires to the back, and we purchased new tires for the front.
===== Engine Detail =====
Tag from B and R Autowrecking (in Chehalis, WA) for the 2.4L purchased and installed:

===== Car Won't Turn Over - Electrical Diagrams =====
During August, 2024, Thomas and Eric discovered that the 2001 Nissan Altima would not start. I tried it some time later and it did start, but only once. Right away, I also put a jumper on the Starter Solenoid coil, and sending 12V positive would make it fire fine. This led to the conclusion that there was something wrong with the electrical wiring between the key switch and the Start Solenoid.

===== Car Won't Turn Over again =====
Had loaned car to Robert. In my front yard, the car wouldn't turn over when trying to start it. He said it also had been making noises. Problem turned out to be a cable had hit the cooling fan, severing the Black/White cable (which connects to the starter solenoid. Resoldering this, and zip tying the cable so it would stay away from the fan fixed the issue.

===== Windshield Wiper Broken =====
Robert said the driver's side windshield wiper stopped working, because it was frozen down. When he brought the car over today, the wiper is missing (he says he had to transfer it to another car?), and noticed that there is an A and a D stamped on the wiper arms. The D was on the passenger side, and the A was on the driver side. I purchased a wiper from O'Reillys (the 21 inch driver side, passenger is 20 inch) and moved the D wiper to the Driver side. I also stamped the motor-to-driver arm back into place. It tests fine.
