==== Rotterdam Organ Screen Graphics ==== === Require 24 bit BMPs, without embedded colorspace === Modifying graphics to make them more readable. When I saved the BMP, I got a failure from Hauptwerk when it tries to read the modified BMP. Looking at the file format of the original file to determine the format that I need to save the BMP as. 31/Jul/2014 20:30 Comparing the file formats between the working, and non-working versions, it appears that the working version has 24 bits per pixel, while the failing version has 16. Will create bitmap to see if improvement. 31/Jul/2014 20:47 It failed again, but noticed that the file name in my example has a capital "J". This might be failing, because I know they use Java. Will try again. 31/Jul/2014 21:03 Changing the case failed. Tried re-generating the BMP without writing the "colorspace" Some gibberish, noting the offset is considerably different. ------------------------------ First 14 bytes (Bitmap File Header) failed: 42 4D AE 9E 23 00 00 00 00 00 7A 00 00 00 6C 00 00 00 F6 04 00 00 Working: 42 4D B2 74 35 00 00 00 00 00 36 00 00 00 28 00 00 00 F6 04 00 00 42 4D = "BM" For Windows BM Next 4 bytes is size in Bytes AE 9E 23 00 vs. B2 74 35 00 Next 2 bytes reserved. Both have 00 00 Next 2 bytes reserved. Failed has 00 7A, working has 00 36 Next 4 bytes the offset ------------------------- Generated BMP without the "colorspace" - an option in Gimp export. The header looked more like the one in the working example. -This worked, although the graphic displayed in Hauptwerk was a bit strange. Probably overlays from other graphics. 31/Jul/2014 21:26 Also, using "24-bit" option. 10/Sep/2014 20:13 --------------------------------------- === Organ file locations === Adjusted the graphics for the Rotterdam organ to make it more readable. Files are at D:\Hauptwerk\HauptwerkSampleSetsAndComponents\OrganInstallationPackages\000891\backgrounds where they are installed from the original archive files by Hauptwerk. Then I "load" them, where a single large file is written to: C:\Hauptwerk\HauptwerkInternalWorkingFiles\Config1-OrganCaches.OrganID000891.Cache_Hauptwerk_hbb {{:dwheele:hauptwerk:rotterdam:screengraphics:hauptworkrotterdamstops.png?direct&200|}} -------------------------------------------- == Different Single-Jam Graphics == Learned the hard way tonight that there are actually two sets of Single-Jam graphics. When you push the Hauptscreen screen to be narrower, it switches from the "wide-screen" single-jam to the regular one. I mostly did motifications to the regular width. == Shared Combinations == Noticed that although each "alt config" has a different organ configuration, there are a shared set of Combinations. Each organ configuration can point at a different combination, but unless that combination is different between the organ configurations, a change in one will appear to change the others. The combinations are here: C:\Hauptwerk\HauptwerkUserData\OrganCombinations\OrganID000891
